The Digital world is growing expeditiously and new ways to communicate and get information is also being more available to everyone. Digital media has advantages that cannot be ignored and is also serving in as a tool in various ways. Among these are, the digital media plays a great role in maintaining and promoting peace in a country.

For the past two days Center for Development and Capacity Building(CDCB) has been giving a training on Digital Peace Building which is part of “Strengthening and Scaling up Youth Peace Agents” project at Shashemane, Hamilton Hotel for Batu, Negele, Shashemane Youth volunteers. In these training various topics such as understanding peace, understanding conflict and violence, types of violence, Digital media and conflict and how to use the digital media for promoting and building peace was thouroughly discussed.

Following this on the third and last day of the training, a detailed planning session was held. This action plan included different activities to be completed in the next three month which is the time it takes for the implementation and completion of this project. The action-plan was initiated by Shahemane Youth volunteers.
