Tourism is a great asset for a country and can add many values to a society. One of the ways tourism can contribute to a society is by promoting peace. This type of tourism is also known as “peace-tourism.” Peace-tourism intends to enhance substantial development and positive peace through the tourism industry.

CDCB has been giving a training on “Peace-tourism” for Batu volunteers at Oromia State University, which is a continuation of yesterday’s training. In today’s session, detailed topics on understanding tourism, concepts of peace tourism, and their practice in Batu were briefly covered. Not only that, but also the training enabled our peace volunteers to be ready for this project in all possible ways. The participants discussed various tourist attractions that have the potential to be a source of tourism in their town.

Previous TRAINING ON THE CONCEPT AND PRACTICE OF PEACE AND TOURISM STARTED.
