It’s no secret that youths hold the greater manpower in a community in every way possible. Subsequently, planting a good seed in this large proportion of the community will in turn bring great value to society. Within this value, peace plays a primary role. CDCB has taken the initiative to further and scale this value.

A community consultation and a consensus-building workshop were successfully conducted today at Batu, Oromia state university. This workshop basically focused on having a discussion among various community members, including the Abba Gadas and Hadha Sinqees of Batu, about the upcoming project, namely “Strengthening and Scaling Up of Youth Peace Agents (ORO031).”

The substantive area of the project is to involve the youth in various activities by giving them all the necessary training and equipping them with resources so they can do what’s expected of them accordingly. During the workshop, participants shared and discussed various aspects of the peace-tourism project, as well as the overall benefit of peace and tourism promotion.

Furthermore, the Abba Gadas and Hadha Sinqees promised to support and stand with the youths in any way necessary for the project’s full implementation.
