One of the mechanisms CDCB designed to support/strengthen the regional offices is through creating a platform for professionals to assist the region with their professional skill and knowledge. Accordingly, six key thematic areas of CDCB are identified in the organization’s five years strategic plan, such as: (a) Leadership and Governance, (b) Economic Development, (c) Environments and Natural Resource, (d) Social Sector (e) Culture, and (f)Urbanization and Urban Development. So far the professional teams are organized under three core technical teams and proposed their regional priority areas to the regional government. This is done through serious of forums, workshops, consultation and conferences. The output of the workshops to be given to the regional leadership and relevant institutions in the form of advice or policy reviews.
